  • The Project Engineer will manage the planning and processes of multiple capex projects on site while collaborating with the Production, Quality, Facilities, and R&D teams to deliver engineering solutions. May require up to 20% travel by car and/or plane. The scope of this role includes: Build a culture of EHS Excellence
    • Supervise and monitor external contractors and vendors to ensure compliance with all applicable codes, practices, policies, and specifications
    • Identify Environmental, Health, and Safety improvement opportunities and manage the relevant CAPEX projects
    • Develop engineering solutions to address safety, quality, and productivity opportunities
    • Collaborate with teams on site and external contractors/vendors to develop scope of work, cost estimate, and timelines for proposed capex projects
    • Identify opportunities for improvement to site safety, quality, and productivity
    • Review site OFI's and LSS requests and initiate engineering required to execute
    • Manage active projects on site to meet published timelines and budgets
    • Regularly communicate project status to key stakeholders
    • Document all aspects of project execution, including design, timeline, cost tracking, and drawing packages
    • Assist in the process to develop 5 year capex improvement plan
    • Evaluate project requests to determine resources required for development of project plan
    • Develop scope of work, specifications, and proposed budget

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience with engineering and project management in a chemical process manufacturing facility
  • Experience establishing, evaluating, and implementing safety, quality and productivity improvements

Preferred Skills:
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work with attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently
  • Demonstrated excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to respond to international team requirements with varying work schedules
  • Excellent computer literacy and knowledge of CAD software
