• Supporting various Municipal Bond products and trade types through booking and daily reconciliations to ensure that the team operates in a controlled environment in order to minimize operational risk
• Responsible for Trade validation, Trade Booking and Trade Event management and reporting
• Participating in process re-engineering including system implementations
• Identify system issues and limitations and propose solutions/requirements to further build out the required technology
• Deliver support for new products and initiatives, assist to define requirements for Trade support and be able to influence peers and business partners
• Being a natural first point of contact for the Front Office, P&L team, other Business partners and the Bank's customers
• Ensures effective planning and execution of client deliverables on a timely basis
• Work closely with Operational partners, Finance, Technology, Compliance, Supervision, and Market Risk
• Actively participate and initiate projects that Simplify and Improve daily processing and controls

  • Minimum of 3-4 years of applicable experience (e.g. Operations, Middle Office, Derivatives)
  • Strong Excel skills. VBA and/or SQL skills a plus
  • Is able to see the big picture, to identify non-optimal processes, to propose solutions and to implement them within timelines and cost constraints
  • Ensures effective planning and execution of client deliverables on a timely basis
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably with an Accounting, Finance or Economics major
  • Must be a highly motivated team player who can be flexible in approach and able/willing to question existing procedures and processes in order to improve them
  • Good written/verbal communication skills
  • Must demonstrate a "can-do” attitude necessary to create good relationships with traders, management, other business partners and the Bank's customers
  • Must be able to fully understand the impact of current and future IT developments on existing Trade
  • Support processes and play a role in their implementation
