Technician for our client in Corvallis, OR. This is a contract position located at our client's site.

  • Performs repair and maintenance along with process support for assigned work area to enable business objectives with an emphasis on safety
  • Maintains equipment and tooling by performing preventative maintenance and repairs
  • Diagnosis problems with equipment and tooling and completes corrective actions using sound troubleshooting skills
  • Uses plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, and or rough sketches or drawings to dismantle, adjust, repair, and assemble equipment
  • Performs equipment modifications as directed by engineering to improve equipment performance, safety, or maintainability
  • Partners with cross functional organizations (purchasing, engineering, facilities, and management) to coordinate repairs
  • Applies knowledge of job skills, company policies and procedures to complete complex specialized assignments/tasks in innovative and effective ways
  • Assists with training on equipment sets to include documentation, theory of operation, daily maintenance, operation, and simple troubleshooting
  • Promotes teamwork on and across shifts and programs
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment
  • Certify to process operations requirements to provide operational coverage when necessary
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience and 6+ years related experience
  • Ability to apply knowledge in relative areas of technologies (Electronics, Computer Science, Vacuum Technology, Pneumatics, Mechanics, Optics)
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a technical, fast paced environment
  • Ability to use the following software packages, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS Outlook, Exchange, Creo, Solid Works
  • Advanced knowledge in the field of electro mechanical technology and software. Mechanical design and drafting skills
