  • Responsible for overseeing the daily operations and administration of the IT server infrastructure
  • Provide support and assistance to the resolution of complex and non-routine issues
  • Performs a wide variety of hands-on technical duties which include, but are not limited to analysis, installation, configuration, modification, documentation, maintenance, problem diagnosis, and repair of all server technology hardware and software
  • Timely responds to service tickets, including incidences, service tasks, catalog tasks and changes. Build standard procedures to ensure the ongoing operational health of the server environment
Required Experience:
  • VMware Expertise
    • Experience in installing and maintaining VMware Esxi 6.5, 6.7 and 7.0 version
    • Experience in installing and performing in place upgrades of vCenter version from 6.5 to 6.7 and 6.7 to 7.0
    • Experience with the migration of VMs from vCenter to vCenter or Datacenter to Datacenter
    • Experience in performing upgrades of Esxi using VMware Update manager or PowerCLI Commands
    • Experience with different VMware tools like vROPS, Skyline Health Diagnostics, Skyline Collector and vRealize
    • Experience in VMware iSCSI, Block/File, NFS and vSAN technologies
    • Experience in provisioning and cloning VMs and virtual appliances as needed or requested by application teams
    • Developing and upgrading standard operating procedures and user guides for team members
    • Responsible for finding the technical cause of problems, as well as recommending and implementing process/system changes to eliminate incoming workload, diagnosing problems to the root cause, and resolving them and involving VMware Support if required.
  • Hardware Exposure
    • Should be familiar and experience with Hyper-Converged platform VxRail 560F model, Cisco UCS, Client DL380 Gen7/8/9
    • Experience in maintain the hardware and performing Hardware and software upgrades
    • Experience in troubleshooting issues related to server hardware and software, provides problem determination, including interfacing with other IT teams and customers to determine root cause
    • Should be able to work or coordinate with Dell, Client or VCE Support if required
  • Windows Administration
  • Knowledge on Active Directory
  • Windows Failover Cluster Services (File Services and SQL)
  • Access Rights Management
  • Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
  • Experience in Configuring CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required.
  • Experience in PowerShell Scripting
  • Should be able to provide root cause analysis for Windows servers or application if any issues arise
  • Should be able to work with DBA Admins, Network Admins or Storage admins to resolve various system issues
  • Should be familiar with Orion and Splunk Monitoring
  • Familiar with ITIL Process
