The Senior Project Manager will directs, manages, plans and administers the delivery of business and technology solutions. This includes project definition, planning, budget management, execution, implementation and communication. The position will also be responsible for building the project team and coordinating the efforts of team members, third-party contractors and partners to deliver solutions in support of business goals and objectives.

  • Direct and manage all project activities from beginning to end
  • Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
  • Applies appropriate methodology tools and templates for completing assigned project
  • Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents
  • Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis
  • Work with resource owners to identify the resources and work required to achieve project goals
  • Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis
  • Draft and submit project forecast and recommend subsequent forecast changes as necessary
  • Determine and assess need for additional staff and/or consultants and make the appropriate recruitments if necessary during project cycle.
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path
  • Plan, schedule and track project activities, timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Produce regular status reports and executive communications
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, manage risk and devise contingency plans
  • Define project success criteria
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work
  • Build, develop, and grow business relationships vital to the success of the project
  • Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements
  • Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management
  • Ensure alignment to CPMO and EPLC methodology

  • Bachelors degree
  • 7 years direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution
  • Strong familiarity with project management software
  • Demonstrated experience in managing project resources in a matrixed environment
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently
  • Flexible during times of change
  • Strong leadership capabilities, persuasive, encouraging, and motivating
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, partners and vendors
  • Ability to defuse tension among project team
  • Ability to bring project to successful completion through political sensitivity
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Adept at problem resolution and out-of-the-box thinking
  • Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies and business concepts

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Have very strong skills in project management tools: MS Project, Visio, Powerpoint, Excel and Word
