Position Overview:
  • Primarily responsible for analyzing a mortgage application, reviewing the financial risks and recommending a credit decision.
  • Must be comfortable discussing transactions with clients when needed.
  • Also handle credit related matter associated with the portfolio.

  • Reviewing the loan application with all the supporting financial documentation.
  • Preparing spreads from personal financial statements, bank/brokerage statements, tax returns, K-1s, P&Ls, etc.
  • Collaborating with Mortgage Sales Specialist on requesting for additional financial documentation or answers when necessary.
  • Completing a credit approval memorandum for risk management review.
  • Recommending eligibility decisions (approvals, denials, & counteroffers).
  • Clearing underwriting conditions as necessary.
  • Following policy and procedures and amending the guidelines when needed.
  • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Creating risk ratings in the bank's credit system,
  • Performing credit matter associated with portfolio changes (rate modifications, releasing/adding borrowers, changes in title, lot line adjustments, easements, etc.)
  • Assisting in mortgage reporting spreadsheets.
  • Working on mortgage related projects
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
  • 5 - 7 years of mortgage experience
  • Knowledge of credit analysis, banking regulations and related processes.
  • Ability to work with financial statements and complex tax returns.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize time sensitive tasks in an efficient manner.
  • Solid interpersonal skills, good writing skills, excellent organizational & communication skills.
  • Must be proficient in various technology software packages (MSP experience a plus)
  • Ability to create, edit and manipulate Excel spreadsheets (Formulas, Pivot Tables, and VLOOKUP ups a plus).
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision
