The Senior Finance Manager - Accounting Policy will be team leader of the Global Markets accounting policy team within the Global Financial Control group. He/She will provides technical accounting support, guides new standard implementation, reviews 1934 Act SEC filings, acts as an advocate for Client with accounting standard setters and industry groups, works on special accounting projects for Client CAO and Corporate Controller. The Senior Finance Manager will provides complex accounting guidance to CAO, Corporate and legal entity controllers, GFC staff, line of business CFOs and their staff. Reviews new products and complex structured transactions. Includes participation in internal product review committee processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Participates in the implementation of new accounting standards and other technical accounting changes
  • Acts in an advocacy role on behalf of the bank with accounting standard setters and various industry organizations
  • Reviews and/or writes sections of the Corporation's '34 Act SEC filings
  • Drafts comment letters to standard setters
  • Drafts responses to SEC review comments
  • Interacts directly with PwC audit engagement management and staff

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 10 plus years of accounting requirements
  • Strong understanding of accounting standards
  • Understanding of Bank regulations including SEC requirements
  • Prior Big-4 audit experience preferred
  • Ability to understand and dissect complex transactions
  • Ability to work across teams within the organization to implement accounting standards and lead projects
  • Strong communication skills including written and oral presentation skills with an ability to interact at different levels of the organization
  • Self motivated
  • Excellent time management and organization skills
