Position Overview:
  • A multi-talented, high-energy Data Management Technology Architect to define, manage and direct the execution of the Data Management strategy of various businesses and functions throughout the Firm, such as Credit and Private Equity Front Office, Operations, Controllers, Data Governance team, etc. for multiple projects.
  • Has relevant experience in the alternatives industry; provides visible leadership and accountability; works independently and exhibits a high degree of initiative in resolving problems and developing recommended solutions.
  • In addition, have vast experience in Information Architecture, Data Security, Quality, Governance models, Data Warehousing and Analytics, to build upon our existing enterprise data foundation and expand corporate best practices.

  • Partner, negotiate and influence a broad range of stakeholders from the front to back office including operational process owners, controllers and senior managers
  • Collaborate across the Firm with data managers and key stakeholders to implement key business processes, policies, and strategies
  • Contribute to the development of the technology strategy and target operating model
  • Manage complex projects from initiation, planning and design thru implementation
  • Lead business requirements and technical design discussions as subject matter expert
  • Implement master data management standards, enforce data governance procedures and ensure data integrity across multiple platforms
  • Develop, implement and enforce best practices and operating standards
  • Identify risks, plan for unanticipated outcomes, and form appropriate contingency plans

Required Experience:
  • Must have hands-on experience with development solutions - Data modelling, Data Integration, Data validation, Match and Merge rules and Data stewardship
  • Financial Services (Buy side preferred) domain experience required. 
  • Experience with Fund performance calculation engine (Eagle PACE, Sylvan etc.) is a plus.
  • Detailed understanding of data governance and data profiling concepts
    Solid understanding and experience with Database technologies (SQL Server, Oracle etc.), Business Intelligence platform (MicroStrategy, tableau etc.), ETL and scheduling tools required
  • Solid understanding of Master Data Management (MDM) architectures and business processes
  • Experience with Cloud Database technologies is requires - Azure/AWS Data Lake architecture/implementation experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills; strong ability to be an active listener; ability to present complex, technical ideas in a clear and concise manner to non-technical audiences
  • Collaborative team player with a strong work ethic that works effectively in cross functional team environment.
  • 15+ years industry full cycle experience of SDLC methodologies and approaches, including refining business requirements and defining functional specifications
  • Adept at listening and soliciting feedback for users and stakeholders
  • Independent business analysis skills
  • Detail & process oriented
  • Ability to thrive in a high-intensity, fast paced environment
  • Advanced degree from a top university strongly desired
