Position Overview:
  • Requires specialized knowledge of bank loan assets from an operational perspective.
  • Verify trade details from client trade files to dealer confirms; Review LSTA & LMA closing documents; Process trade closings in internal systems
  • Work with clients and internal teams to facilitate security creation in internal security master; create assets in Wall Street Office (WSO) and subscribe to assets in WSO Data utility
  • Process lifecycle event activity (i.e., principal & interest payments, rollovers, paydowns, PIKs, commitment reduction, conversions, etc.) for bank loans and related TRS in WSO and internal books and records
  • Record and process lifecycle events for additional asset types including Trade Claims and Private Fixed Income
  • Work closely with Accounting to ensure that all postings in the books and records are correctly reflected in the general ledger; ensure that tax lots are set up and relieved accordingly
  • Work with reconciliation and control team to resolve position and cash breaks between internal systems and external accounts; reconcile positions on internal systems to agent notices
  • Interface with cash management team to ensure timely delivery and receipt of cash flows for bank loan and TRS lifecycle event activity on behalf of clients
  • Build and maintain strong client and internal relationships, act as escalation point for complex bank loan and TRS related issues
  • Work closely with implementation teams to on-board new client portfolios, back-loading tax lots and historical activity
  • Document gaps in processes and technology necessary to meet client needs, propose process and technology solutions to close outstanding service and functional gaps
  • Write Business Document Requirements outlining technology enhancements for external vendors, work with vendors and internal IT to test enhancements, see projects through to completion by facilitating the roll-out of enhancements and new functionality to the Production Environment
  • 3-5 years operations experience working with bank loan securities and related TRS
  • Understanding of the LSTA guidelines required, including a basic understanding of the loan closing process
  • Experience documenting requirements, writing BRDs, coordinating testing or project management skills a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bloomberg required; Proficiency with Wall Street Office preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; comfortable in a client facing role
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in an extremely time sensitive conditions
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and familiarity with financial markets and instruments
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
