Position Overview:
  • The Senior Client Service Associate for Billing provides a high level of customer service to the firm's top corporate and individual, executive clients.
  • The focus of this position will lie in the proper billing of individual policies.
  • This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated, energetic individual to contribute directly to a growing business and gain valuable experience.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Management of a team of four to ensure the team is meeting the quality assurance standards set by the firm.
  • Analyze census data from our corporate clients, our internal database and insurance carrier to determine how a policy should be billed on a regular basis.
  • Ensure all payroll files, invoices and carrier backups are sent out according to institutional client and carrier deadlines.
  • Conduct monthly audits to determine any discrepancies regarding payment of individual policies.
  • Coordinate closely with institutional clients and insurance carriers to ensure payment is received and discrepancies are handled in a timely fashion.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our billing processes as well as how the enrollment process affects the billing for a policy and vice versa.
  • Coordinate with the Enrollment Team during client enrollment periods to ensure billing for newly enrolled executives of our corporate clients occurs smoothly.
  • Handle inquiries from eligible or enrolled executives about the disability insurance being offered through our enrollments.
  • Ensure mailings and all necessary follow-ups are conducted, for terminated employees of institutional clients, on a monthly basis as a team.
  • Prepare, review and send mailings and emails as part of policy retention and service support.
  • Report policy retention rates and corresponding commission breakdown to Leadership Team on a monthly basis.
  • Determine when an insured needs claim forms, as per institutional client deadlines, and provide accurate forms.

  • Education/Experience:
    • 1 Year of Management Experience
    • Bachelor's Degree
    • 2-3 years Benefits Billing Experience a plus
