Position Overview:
  • The Sr. Business Systems Analyst is responsible for solution design and governance activities for GLD Digital Visibility.
  • This position is responsible for documenting and analyzing processes / work streams that are supported through data science.
  • In addition, the Sr. BSA is responsible for ownership of project(s) through all phases, from inception through completion, including project management responsibilities.
  • The Sr. Business Systems Analyst performs functions on highly complex projects. He/She serves as a liaison between the business community and Information Services (I.S.).
  • This position elicits and analyzes business needs, determines the impact and integration of solutions to business processes and systems, and validates that solutions fit within the long-term strategic vision. He/She manages projects from intake to delivery serving as both Business Analyst and Project Manager.
  • An ideal candidate will be able to quickly come up to speed in the applications, will have extensive experience researching and analyzing business requirements, and will be effective at influencing stakeholders to help build the most valuable product. He/She should have real world experience working as part of an Agile team and must be able to breakdown business requirements into defined features, quality user stories and supporting artifacts that enable the team to deliver working software and that are aligned to business objectives.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Own project(s) through all phases from inception through completion, including project management responsibilities
  • Stakeholder identification and communication
  • Identify current and future needs of the customer or business; understand how business needs dictate the project's requirements, project direction, business objectives, and resource allocation; make recommendations on the solutions-design phase of the project
  • Work with stakeholders to gather, analyze, document, and validate requirements
  • Break down highly complex concepts into smaller, comprehensible concepts for analysis to ensure appropriate level of communication and understanding for the project stakeholders
  • Develop Epics, Features and corresponding work products for highly complex projects to ensure stakeholders' understanding
  • Create supporting requirements artifacts deliverables such as business process flows, use cases and wireframes
  • Develop and maintain project plan
 
Qualifications:
  • Support User Acceptance Testing Knowledge And Skills 5+ years proven
  • Agile Business Analyst and Project management experience
  • Expertise in eliciting and documenting business requirements through use cases, user stories, and other means (including workflow diagrams, dataflow diagrams, screen wireframes, etc).
  • Experience translating Business Requirements into Epics/Features/User Stories
  • Experience with reporting and visualizations
  • Excellent problem solving skills and ability to think outside-of-the-box when assessing possible solutions.
  • Working knowledge of work break down processes
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to partner with the stakeholders to define and document their current and future system needs.
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of techniques for soliciting and gathering information; identifies appropriate sources of information
  • Excellent critical analysis skills with the ability to consume information from multiple sources and consolidate
  • Ability to see tasks through to completion without significant guidance
  • Communicate effectively in written and verbal communication coupled with strong listening skills
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical teams
  • Ability to set clear expectations, prioritize activities, and follow through to completion
  • Experience with Project Management and Project Scoping
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments, changing priorities, and work independently
  • Positive and constructive attitude
  • Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills
