Sales Assistant

The Sales Assistant is responsible for writing trade confirmations across all Fixed Income products including Government and Corporate Bonds, Interest Rate Swaps and Options, FX Swaps and Asset Backed Securities. As part of this role, Sales Assistant is to confirm trades, process allocations, resolve discrepancies and confirm settlement details with client, liaising with operations team in New York accordingly.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Supports the Company's Diversity programs
  • Adheres strictly to compliance and operational risk controls in accordance with HClient and regulatory standards, policies and practices; reports control weaknesses, compliance breaches and operational loss events
  • Assists with all administrative tasks of desk including answering phones and relaying client messages
  • Assists salespersons in research distribution and helping to organize both internal and third party roadshows
  • Assists salespersons in organizing client contact information, client call reports and monitoring all client interactions
  • Assists salespersons in onboarding new accounts, establishing e-trading connectivity, monitoring credit lines and seeking credit line increases
  • Decision-Making Responsibility:
• Uses initiative and independent judgment on a daily basis to analyze, problem solve and proactively respond to client inquiries and sales manager requests. Evaluates and escalates complex issues and/or problems to manager


EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • High level of organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Broad knowledge of products and of applicable systems/applications

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
  • College degree and relevant work experience
