Position Overview:
  • The Research Associate (RA) will report to a member of the Patient and Health Impact (PHI), Health Outcomes Research (HEOR) team
  • The RA will help develop and execute the Global Product Strategy alongside their sponsor and the cross-functional Asset Team(s)
  • The RA will support health outcomes projects that are aligned with the product strategy and value proposition
  • Provide research and operational support to PHI Team HEOR sponsor to develop and execute studies and projects in alignment with the HEOR strategy to support and enhance the value proposition for the assigned assets
  • Support maintenance of value dossiers, evidence blueprints, payer value messages and innovative tools
  • Support the development of cost-effectiveness, budget impact, and health impact models to communicate the public health and economic value of the assets
  • Support in all the stages of the elaboration of observational studies (e.g. burden of disease, outcomes research, costing studies, etc.)
  • Support all the stages of real world evidence studies (e.g. treatment patterns, real world effectiveness, burden of illness, costing, epidemiology studies, etc.) within non-interventional study processes
  • Support peer-reviewed publication process
  • Conduct literature reviews, synthesize, and interpret relevant literature and communicate findings to internal and stakeholders
  • Assist with managing research projects with external vendors to ensure timely completion and quality of deliverables as well as budget/legal compliance
  • Support management of allocated project budgets to align with priorities and spend forecasts, including tracking invoices and updating internal budget systems
  • Basic competence with methodological approaches and tools in health services research is required, e.g., literature review, clinical data interpretation and claim data analysis
  • Knowledge of data science desirable
  • Knowledge of health economic methodologies desirable
  • Knowledge of patient reported outcomes instruments desirable
  • Knowledge of international health systems, health technology assessment and pharmaceutical economics preferable
  • Experience with using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills required
  • 5+ of relevant post-graduate professional experience desired for MSc students
  • Able to work collaboratively in fast-paced, matrix environment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects (multitask) involving complex processes, significant budget, competing deadlines and rapidly shifting priorities in a compliant manner
  • Master or PhD is highly preferred
  • Prefers 5 years of experience but open to 3-5yrs  for someone with HEOR experience  (Health economics and outcomes research) someone with experience, able to hit the ground running, experience with economic modeling, cost effective, cost comparison, literature research modeling, search observation studies / non-interventional study
