Position Overview:
  • To succeed in this role, you will need to leverage your excellent communication skills to collaborate with remote and cross-functional teams and be comfortable reporting in a matrix environment with little supervision.
  • This position requires an expert knowledge of project cost and scheduling techniques/principles, working knowledge of project management techniques and change control processes, and basic understanding of engineering and construction procedures and processes.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Working with project management to ensure that schedule and costs are aligned, including the development of recovery plans, to stay within approved limits
  • Reviewing project plans, schedules, cost estimates, and changes to meet quality guidelines and help project managers make necessary adjustments
  • Verifying progress and reviews performance trends
  • Investigating causes of variances between planned and earned/actual progress and documenting findings
  • Identifying, analyzing and documenting project cost and schedule variances and concluding on possible impacts
  • Providing analysis of cost variances between budget, actual costs, and support development of cost forecasts
  • Leading/assisting in the development and maintenance of Issue and Risk register
  • Developing and producing schedule weekly/monthly project control reports for internal management review: which includes resource loading analysis and schedules, critical path items and risk analysis
 
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or Engineering
  • 3+ years of Project control experience
  • Schedule and cost control, variance and forecasting experience
  • Proficient in MS Project and Excel
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Design / Construction project experience
