for our client in New York, NY.

  • Responsible for working with an agile team to deliver on product objectives. It is the Product Analyst who is responsible for the product backlog, that may be part of a larger product suite / vision.
  • The Product Analyst ensures that the singular backlog is aligned to the overall product vision set by the PO, leading a scrum team to implement.
  • Should maintain a "customer first mindset, work in close collaboration with the team as well as foster strong relationships with key stakeholders to deliver the vision.
  • Ensures product vision, set by the PO, is maintained and expressed in the backlog
  • Builds the backlog, writing user stories and associated Acceptance Criteria, that will realize the product vision
  • Maintains a well groomed and prioritized backlog, partnering with the Scrum Master to ensure stories meet the 'Definition of Ready' (DoR)
  • Makes critical backlog priority decisions (consulting with PO if applicable), leading with value but weighing feasibility and dependency factors
  • Preforms business acceptance testing on user stories meeting the team defined 'Definition of Done' (DoD) each sprint
  • Partners with Design to advocate the voice of the customer to realize a product that will represent and speak to actual user needs and frequently tests the product with customers
  • Incorporates and prioritizes user feedback in the backlog
  • Drive sprint and release plans together with the Scrum Master and the team
  • Prepares and leads Sprint Demos
  • Develops and maintains a dynamic product roadmap, frequently communicating product decisions to stakeholders
  • Follow health, safety, and environmental policies, EEO, Standards of Business Conduct, and all other applicable company policy and procedures
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (2+ years of professional experience)
  • Degree in related field to product mgmt., product development, etc. is a plus
  • Experience in energy industry is a plus
  • Experience supporting a PO with product analysis, feature breakdown and prioritization
  • Some experience being a product owner with an Agile team managing backlogs and operating day to day with the team
  • Has the ability to quickly understand industry context and come up to speed on business context
  • Maintain the conceptual and technical integrity of the features for the team
  • Track record of engaging end users into the product
  • development process for feedback and input during development
  • Familiar with building and releasing Minimal Viable Product (MVP) and managing on-time releases by managing risk and planning the product construction sprint by sprint
  • Ability to partner with stakeholders to interpret business needs to develop the product vision
  • Has strong communication skills with ability to articulate the value of a priorities to clients / users
  • Can think "one step ahead to determine risks and impediment probability with the intent to influence change in advance
  • Synthesize abstract ideas into concrete implications for the product
  • Is passionate about problem solving
  • Sees value in taking an iterative approach to development
  • Is open to learning new ideas outside scope
  • Collaborative, curious, empathetic, open-minded, innovative
  • Able and willing to travel within Company service territory, as needed
  • Able to participate in the Company's emergency management processes and storm plans as required
