  • Strategy: This role provides performance management support to the CIB and Financial Markets business to help drive the Americas growth strategy.
  • Business: CIB CC, Financial Markets, Lending
  • Processes:
    • Partner with the CIB Americas Business to drive the delivery of its strategy and measure the success of its execution. This includes working closely with CIB Finance FM team in supporting delivery of monthly financials, business MIS, performance analysis, accounting policy, financial regulation, capital, and others.
    • Support the Head of CIB Finance in ensuring the integrity of management and financial reporting for Financial Market and Lending products. This includes monthly general ledger closing, actual vs. flash, balance sheet substantiation, trial balance reviews, compliance to IFRS reporting standards, and others.
    • Responsible for Committed Facilities reporting and tracking of undrawn commitments for Americas.
    • Act as Finance representative at SCTSC's (Tradeco) Board meetings. Responsible for presenting SCTSC (Tradeco) financials and assisting the Tax team on queries related to income tax filing.
    • Manage ad hoc requests including Product Program reviews, projects, and others.
  • Regulatory & Business Conduct

    • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Client. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
    • Lead the CIB Finance team to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank's Conduct Principles: Fair Effective Financial Markets Financial Markets; Financial Crime Compliance; The Right Environment.
    • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
  • Key Stakeholders:
    • Financial Markets Management Team, Americas
    • Chief Financial Officer, Americas
    • Funds Finance team, Americas
    • Regional & Group Finance
  • Qualification in Business, Finance, or Accounting
  • Prior work experience in business finance/product control functions within the financial services industry is an added advantage
  • Highly proficient computer skills, including Excel and ability to manage and transform data into information
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to influence business partners and identify opportunities to further leverage budgets/forecast targets
  • Adept at handling multiple tasks at once within an extremely deadline driven environment
  • Ability to demonstrate the Bank's values in achieving objectives
