Responsibilities:
  • Conveyed open client issues and helped maintain client production environment Performed Unix Scripting and oversaw Linux servers
  • working directly with the system's source code to make necessary changes to ensure reliable performance and then deploy those changes throughout the system
  • Knowledge on Red Hat Linux operating systems
  • Should know how to debug/troubleshoot memory issues
  • Performed top level troubleshooting and escalated known issues to the quality team
  • Responsibility to install and set up Linux systems and servers, often for organization-wide deployment and Virtual infrastructure
  • Provision storage requirements, Troubleshoot escalated issues, Prepare Incident & RCA
  • Monitor the performance and availability of systems Investigate and resolve storage performance issues
  • Basic knowledge on virtualization VMware, Windows, Linux and Database
  • Vendor coordination, track/escalate issues submitted to storage vendors
  • Document new technical procedures and processes developed
  • Identify new process and procedure improvements
  • Maintain system security by actively identifying faults and vulnerable areas within the system's architecture
  • Provide technical support and guidance to users and other administrators
  • Monitoring system performance to prevent slowdowns and crashes

  • NIS Management and Administration
  • NFS export migration from one storage to another
  • Installation and Administration of Linux-HA clusters
 
Required Experience:
  • 4 to 6 years experience
  • Should have strong OS administration skills on Linux
  • Expert knowledge of NAS, DAS, SAN (fabric attached architectures)
  • Hands on experience on SuSe/RHEL Linux System Administration
  • Experience in Linux OS installation, Software and Patch management
  • Volume Manager Administration Network OS / SW installation
  • Linux Heart Beat Clustering
  • OS patching skills on UNIX (Linux)
  • Support experience on Storage NAS
  • Hands on experience of system management, system setup and managing Linux servers as well as configuring them
  • Hands-on experience on NetApp Ontap CLI, Oncommand system manager, Ontap 9 , 8.x ,C-Mode, FAS3000, FAS6000 and SVM ,CIFS, NFS, iSCSI, FCP, SSH, RLM, FCP . Snapshot, SnapMirror, SnapVault, SnapRestore
  • 1500+ Servers handling experience
  • Should have hands on experience in working in Production Support environment
  • Linux Booting Process
 
Skills:
  • Must have knowledge on architectural concept regarding console servers for Linux
  • Must have expertise on OS internals on Linux
  • Good knowledge about the Linux system files, boot process and Run levels
  • Familiar with the configuration and maintenance of server and network hardware and peripherals
  • Knowledge on scripting tool like Ansible, Python and PowerShell
  • Excellent documentation, troubleshooting and customer relationship skill for common day to day operations
  • General System Administration expertise
  • Should have good knowledge on Performance Tuning and performance troubleshooting of Linux
  • Knowledge on VMware and Windows at least L1 task
  • Basic monitoring of Windows and VMware Windows VM installation and Decommission
  • Administration of virtual environment Storage: knowledge of storage administration and the concepts of file systems, disk partitions, mounts, quotas, mirroring and sizing
  • Expert with storage sizing, performance and high availability
  • Should understand the Datacenter IT infrastructure
