Position Overview:
  • Will act as a business partner to functional groups and senior executives in Corporate Business (Corporate Communications, Legal/Compliance, Financial Administration, and Marketing)
  • Guide and assist their client groups in developing and implementing effective human resource strategies to support overall business objectives, including:
    • Talent acquisition, development and retention
    • Organizational design and effectiveness
    • Strategic planning
    • Organization development
    • Change management
    • Performance management
  • Promote positive employee relations through design, communication and interpretation of human resources policies and programs
 
Responsibilities:
  • Establish relationships with senior business unit line executives
  • Initiate dialogue with clients regarding future direction of their organization, the competencies and technical skills required for success, and the status of the current talent pool in meeting those criteria
  • Help management identify critical positions and develop strategies to fill those positions
  • Participate in business unit strategic planning activities particularly as they relate to staffing, manpower planning, and development
  • Identify and address specific HR requirements in the division or department
  • Monitor the state of the business and use that information to anticipate future requirements
  • Evaluate HR processes to ensure they are consistent with client business strategy, needs, and that they add value
  • Coordinate delivery of HR Services
  • Provide counseling to the client management team in many areas
 
Required Experience:
  • Success in developing and implementing a comprehensive approach to talent management, with demonstrated ability to translate strategy into plans and actions
  • Must have had HR responsibilities for at least 300 employees
  • Undergraduate Degree
  • Minimum of 7 years progressive experience and broad functional expertise in HR strategy, talent management, talent assessment, compensation, change management, organization development, employee relations and employment law
  • 7 – 8 years’ experience as H.R. Generalist
