Eclaro International is currently recruiting for a Futures and Options and OTC Clearing Operations Analyst for one of our financial services clients.

Job Description:

The Futures & Options (F&O) and OTC Clearing Operations – New Account documentation team is seeking an Operations Analyst. The F&O New Accounts team is responsible for coordination of the client documentation and working with clients, Front Office, Legal, Credit, Compliance, KYC/AML and Integration to onboard new funds for F&O and OTC Clearing.
The responsibilities of this role include coverage of firm high profile clients, including large asset managers. The coverage of client relationships will include full coordination of collecting client documentation, facilitating KYC review and approval, applying for CoPeR requests, reviewing documents for capacity and authority language, managing relevant regulatory requests and data, analyzing complex account structures and ensuring management and key stakeholders are made aware of progress.

• Review complex client account structures (corporations, trusts, hedge funds, partnerships, pension funds, mutual funds)
• Review capacity and authority language for Futures and OTC Clearing within client documentation
• Apply for copers on new funds
• Coordinate calls with large institutional clients to collect documentation needed for onboarding new funds in a timely fashion
• Prepare static data to be sent to RDS to open accounts
• Navigate internal organization to gather approvals on new funds from Credit, Legal, and Compliance
• Articulate, escalate and highlight delays in client onboarding process to Front Office
• Review of existing procedures to ensure proper documentation and controls are in place
• New procedure creation and process roll out for new products
• Participate in projects and clean up of historical key static data elements that drive Regulatory and Compliance reporting
• Propose change to improve processes within the team

• College Degree
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Fluency in 2nd language, particularly French, is a plus
• The role will demand that the candidate is a strong communicator and leader, as the function demands frequent interaction with business partners as well as clients
• The candidate must be well versed in client execution and clearing, for both futures and derivatives products on global markets
• The candidate must be able to work in a fast paced environment and be an effective multi-tasker
• This role requires that the candidate be organized, detailed oriented and have the ability to manage their time effectively to meet client needs within appropriate time frames
• The role will require the candidate to take and pass their Series 3 Exam within 3 months of hire date
• The candidate should be able to act without immediate supervision and have the ability to take ownership of tasks/processes
• The candidate should be able to evaluate the risk elements of such a client facing role and a role in a regulated industry and ensure tasks are carried out in a controlled fashion
• Candidate should have experience with GMI, as well as other systems associated with cleared Futures and Derivatives
• Role requires candidate to be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of industry rules and regulations, as well as common street wide business practices is a plus
• Project management experience is beneficial
• Experience working in a global environment with outsourced partners would also be considered as a benefit
