Position Overview:
  • This role requires that ability to work with client functions, Contract Manufacturing Organizations and Contract Testing Labs with a focus on understanding the risk to quality, yield, and timelines from the technical implementation and/or execution of Client processes at remote CMO sites.
  • Must be able to learn, adapt quickly to a change and demonstrate flexibility when new challenges are presented.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Supports operational oversight of Cmanagement, ensuring compliant, efficient, and timely production and delivery of products.
  • Manages a portfolio of cross-functional external manufacturing projects with focus on developing and maintaining overall project plan objectives and timelines. May act as project manager or serve on a project team.
  • Ensures smooth execution of manufacturing-related projects and process improvements, acting as a resource for both CMO and Client stakeholders.
  • Support the CMO relationship manager in managing the CMO, including logistics, batch scheduling and tracking.
  • Track internal change controls, deviations, and corrective actions as part of client internal processes.
  • Manages and tracks performance through data analysis and monitoring of KPIs for performance, meeting administration and engagement.
  • Maintains action trackers, SharePoint forms and risk registers.
  • May perform data analytics.

Qualifications:
  • BS in Life Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline with a minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience. Advanced degree a plus
  • Strong preference given to experience in commercial or clinical manufacturing of cell therapy materials or biologics.
  • Experience in project management and data management highly preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively with multiple assignments
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of multidisciplinary project team.
  • Essential to success is the ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external partners, to apply cooperation principles, and perform strongly in a matrix environment.
  • Demonstrated strength in all modes of communication
  • Although most of the manufacturing will be at external partners, preferred to have experience working in a pharmaceutical plant environment and understanding of procedures and equipment necessary for pharmaceutical manufacturing.
