Join the Eclaro Team! Eclaro is looking for a Electrician for our client in Iselin, NJ. This is a contract position located at our client's site.

Position Overview:
  • Troubleshoot electrical equipment to diagnose problems and determine necessary repairs.
  • Install and repair pneumatic instrumentation, electronic instrumentation, analyzers -high voltage power distribution, lighting, electrical motor controls.

  • Recognize and practice safe work habits in all facets of daily duties.
  • Adhere to high standards of productivity, quality, and safe work practices for assigned work.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping practices throughout the Site.
  • Receive and act upon Supervisor. Notify supervisor of status of work requests.
  • Communicate to senior mechanic deficiencies in equipment and/or repair information for future corrective actions.
  • Assist in training of Electrical/utility mechanics as directed.
  • Comply with company policies, safety standards and good housekeeping practices.
  • Learn and maintain computer skills to support Company programs.
  • Work closely with Operations Technicians, Mechanical technicians, and engineers, etc.
  • Assist with maintenance programs, which include electrical spare parts inventory and purchase, routine checks, routine electrical equipment shutdown, maintaining accurate records, SAP/R3 data entry and maintenance planning.
  • Know the environmental standards of the plant and the impact maintenance can have on meeting these standards.
  • Work safely and watch out for others safety.
  • Attend training and verify understanding of material.

Required Qualifications:
  • A New Jersey Electrical License is required.
  • Must comply with all safety and environmental standards.
  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Strong leadership and team skills. 
  • At least 5 years relevant experience preferably in a minerals processing plant environment or 10 years relevant experience preferably in an industrial plant environment.
  • Thorough knowledge and demonstrated ability to install and repair pneumatic instrumentation, electronic instrumentation, high voltage power distribution, lighting, electrical motor controls, and PLC systems.
  • Have a working knowledge NEC and ISA standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret charts, tables, drawings, symbols, and equipment manuals used in industry.
  • Ability to use a multi-meter, clamp-on ammeter, and meg-ohmmeter in motor and control troubleshooting.
  • Possess skills and ability to properly wire 3-phase, 240/460 volt nine-lead motors, and respective starters.
  • Have working knowledge of relay logic, and able to wire I/O PLC systems per provided drawings.
  • Able to problem solve in hazardous conditions with time demands.
  • Able to identify important dimensions of a problem, determine potential causes, obtain relevant information, and specify alternate solutions.
