Job Description:

Job Overview:
  • Key tax leadership role focused on providing integral support for the client's global tax function
  • Successful candidate will possess exceptional communication, interpersonal and corporate influence skills to manage a wide range of tasks critical to the effective operation of the tax organization
  • This is a highly process oriented role that will require a strategic thinker who offers hands on management and follow through
  • Candidate must have a broad range of technical and technology experience with exception organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Oversee the quarterly and annual global income tax provision in accordance with ASC740
  • Responsible for technical analysis and evaluation of critical tax accounting policies and conclusions including valuation allowance analysis, FIN 48, APB 23, and purchase accounting
  • Maintenance of Corptax software and Sharepoint document management system as well as continual optimization of all tax department technology solutions
  • Lead the consolidated tax forecasting process including the global effective tax rate and cash taxes
  • Evaluate overall tax posture of the Company to facilitate tax planning
  • Manage the accurate and timely preparation of all domestic federal and state income tax returns, including quarterly estimated taxes
  • Develop, implement and maintain effective procedures and controls as promulgated by Sarbanes Oxley 404
  • Perform necessary tax research to support/understand domestic and international positions and the impact those positions have on the global effective tax rate
  • Provide hands-on support for all tax audits - perform independent critical analysis of all proposed positions and proactively assist building critical audit defense strategies
  • Manage key projects including process improvements within tax accounting and compliance environments

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • Advanced degree in Tax and CPA designation highly preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of diverse tax accounting experience in both Big 4 and corporate settings
  • Strong technical knowledge of ASC 740, SEC rules and other regulatory agency requirements
  • Track record of driving organizational change and improving functions
  • Ability to respond, prioritize effectively and meet deadlines while maintaining the highest of standards of completeness and accuracy
  • Strong knowledge of financial systems and technology with the ability to develop and implement "Best Practice" processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Hands on experience with tax accounting software
  • Corptax experience highly preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Managerial experience required
