Director of PMO

Eclaro International is currently recruiting for Director of PMO for one of our clients in Melville, NY.
 
Position Overview:
  • Responsible for the strategic and tactical facilitation and implementation of strategic projects and reporting project status to senior management on a timely basis
  • Responsible during the initial planning stages to define the scope, resource allocation, determine the budget and Return on Investment (ROI), define project deliverables, create the necessary timelines and orchestrate communication / training plans
  • The role will utilize a defined and standardized methodology that identifies priorities and dependencies and keeps projects on time and under budget. In addition to maintaining oversight of all strategic projects, the role may facilitate / lead specific projects in order to optimize the role and deliver critical improvements
 
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and institutionalize a custom HSIC project management approach including methodology, accountability/ownership and tools/templates that build and enhances organizational core competency
  • Utilize standardized software and system tools for use by project managers
  • Maintain oversight and report on project portfolio on a regular basis to ensure delivery to expectations
  • Facilitate and run specific project teams that involve subject matter experts resourced to specific projects
  • Create and maintain a network of professional project managers that can be utilized for all project types
  • Work with individual project management teams on specific operational, policy and information system requirements that may be required to prioritize and/or deliver improvement opportunities
  • Attract talent to the organization, advance TSM development and increase retention
  • Participate in other special projects and performs other duties as required
 
Required Experience:
  • 12 or more years of increasing responsibility and complexity in terms of any applicable professional experience
  • 5 or more years of management experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, computer science, information systems, finance/accounting or related fields, or work experience
  • Experience with one or more project management methodologies (for example, PMI PMBOK or PRINCE2)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Visio, Project Management tools
 
Preferred Experience:
  • Master's degree or global equivalent
  • IASSC Lean Six Sigma Certification
  • Manufacturing environment experience
