Director IOS Lead

  • Consult and partner with engineering, product and design to solve mobile engineering challenges and goals
  • Collaborate with a team to define, design, and shape new features
  • Leads strategy development and technical design for large projects
  • Defines timelines and project plans; analyzes and estimates feasibility, cost, time, and compatibility with hardware and other programs
  • Design and build SDKs and applications for the iOS platform; leads team of iOS developers
  • Ensure the expected performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications are achieved
  • Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and continuous integration
  • Leads the coding/configuration, testing, implementation and documentation of the solution. Develops detailed design specifications
  • Establishes systems to monitor the operating efficiency of existing application systems and provides (or arranges for) proactive maintenance
  • Leads the resolution of customer inquiries
  • Serves as a coach and mentor to more junior developers. Delegates tasks as appropriate
  • Oversees the selection of tools and methodologies for projects
  • Commits to overall deliverables with customers and/or management
  • Provides recommendations on vendor selection. Negotiates terms and conditions with vendors
  • Interface with stakeholders, provide technical leadership and be accountable for the mobile product delivery
Required Experience:
  • Computer Science Degree or strong engineering foundation
  • 7+ years iOS development experience and familiarity with mobile architecture
  • Swift expertise
  • Experience with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services
  • Experience with Agile and SCRUM methodologies
  • Knowledge of other web technologies and UI/UX standards
  • Experience developing apps that visualize large quantities of data and handle data streaming
  • Experience with the full SDLC process, versioning, code management, and deployment methodologies
  • Experience leading and managing workloads distribution and prioritization for dispersed teams
  • Experience managing complex projects involving external clients and multiple teams of developers
