Position Overview:
  • As a DevOps Engineer, need to be: passionate about solving problems, have strong capabilities in cloud environments and supporting/related technologies, have strong troubleshooting skills and be proficient with building customer facing solutions in a team centric environment.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Keep up with industry best practices and trends and tools in DevOps
  • Drive implementation of best practices and standards
  • Document and develop process automation to include: Build and Deployment of on-prem and cloud-based applications and required application infrastructure, automated configuration and deployment on-premise infrastructure (Infrastructure as Code) as well as PaaS
  • Build, deploy, and maintain build and application pipelines
  • Test system integrity, design and implement automation solutions and other processes related to infrastructure with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Manage code deployments, fixes, updates, and related processes
  • Work with multiple CI/CD tools
  • Assist customer with re-platforming application components to cloud native services
  • Assist with containerization and micro segmentation of applications
  • Strong troubleshooter
 
Required Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience performing DevOps consulting and/or filling a DevOps role within an organization
  • 3+ years of infrastructure and/or development background
  • Fundamental understanding of networking and security (both terrestrial and cloud)
  • Proven experience with software control tools such as GIT, SVN
  • Experience with common industry solutions such as Message Queues (Service Bus), Databases (Cosmos), Redis, and KeyVaults
  • Deep Kubernetes experience, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) preferable
  • Hands-on experience with Cloud automation, Test Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Deployment (CD), and use of Open-Source Software (OSS).
  • Solid scripting experience in multiple scripting languages: Python, PowerShell, Bash
  • Awareness of critical concepts in DevOps and Agile Principles
  • Understand fundamental design principles behind building long term scalable applications

  • Professional demeanor and good communication skills
  • Ability to think and come up with solutions quickly
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills and experience required.
  • Must be able to adjust style to match the audience whether internal, client technical or client executive.
  • Proven experience articulating technical viewpoints to diverse audiences, including technical and non-technical business decision makers.
  • High EQ sought.
