Position Overview:
  • Accountable for driving information and data architecture decisions in alignment with enterprise information and data architecture principles. Partners with DCMs, IT Business Partner(s), and Business Unit stakeholders to sustain the data strategy and target data architecture
  • Partners with IT development teams to ensure adherence to data architecture principles, guidelines, and standards
  • Enterprise and project level end to end conceptual data flow, application landscape diagrams
  • Business Information models
  • Conceptual data models
  • Business Glossary
  • Meta data Management
  • Data Architecture Guiding Principles
  • Approaches to hydrating an enterprise data lake with data from internal and external data sources
  • Data lake data structures (logical and physical data models for systems of tables and files, schema specifications)
  • Analysis and Validation of Data Sources
  • Standardization of Reference & Master Data Entities
  • Analysis of Data Entities and Elements
  • Source to Target mapping
  • Senior role in Data Management, Data Lake, Data Stewardship and/or Data Administration programs within the life science industry
  • Experience in information technology designing, implementing, and/or supporting analytic platforms (data warehouse, data hub, ETL/transformations, and/or Business Intelligence) related activities satisfying complex information needs
  • Experience with Big Data, Master Data Management (MDM), Data Visualization, and/or Data Virtualization for both structured and/or unstructured data
  • Data Quality Management and Data Architecture standardization
  • ERP Data Architecture
  • Proven analytical skills to properly evaluate and interpret cross-functional data standardization requirements
  • Ability to resolve complex issues relate to enterprise wide data architecture concerns
  • Ability to architect data management enterprise solutions that are in alignment with strategic technology roadmap and emerging industry trends
  • Experience in Computer Systems Validation and Software Quality Assurance
  • Effective in matrix management and team building
  • Poise, maturity and communication skills necessary to represent the data architecture group internally and externally
  • Strong presentation, verbal and written communications skills
  • Data Modeling
  • Physical database design and database tuning expertise
  • AWS S3 knowledge
  • RDBMS skills
  • SQL and PL/SQL experience
  • Tool(s) proficiency such as ARIS, ER Studio, ERWin, ETL (Informatica PowerCenter), Data Profiling
  • Familiarity with Clinical development and CRM applications (Veeva, Salesforce) within Clinical space
  • 3+ years of experience implementing Clinical Development IT and technology solutions
  • Experience deploying Analytic Platforms in a Cloud and On-Premise environment
  • Experience working with international clients with a globally dispersed team
  • Prior experience in working with global life sciences discovery or clinical data
