Position Overview:
  • The Analyst will to address reporting and analysis requests, gather requirements for reporting tools, and validate data results of health insurance carriers and agencies.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Specific Responsibilities include:
    • Provide general healthcare analytics support.
    • The Analyst will respond to client’s data analysis needs during and following the open enrollment period.
    • Analyze client’s enrollment data to inform Open Enrollment policies and consumer outreach.
    • Analyze Exchange enrollment patterns throughout Open Enrollment to inform consumer outreach and communications.
    • Analyze enrollment data, including data transferred via Electronic Data Interfaces and 834 transactions with carriers, for discrepancies and issues.
    • Investigate data discrepancies between the Exchange and carriers.
    • Analyze data transfers between the Exchange and other health care programs.
    • Analyze financial data for reports and compare financial data to enrollment data.
    • Maintain awareness of and ensure adherence to client’s standards regarding privacy and professionalism.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
 
Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree or 4 additional years of experience
  • 1-4 years of career experience in technology and/or data.
  • Mastery of Microsoft Excel.
  • Working knowledge of relational database concepts and SQL
  • Excellent judgment, attention to detail and initiative
  • The capacity to thrive in dynamic, high-pressure environments.
  • The ideal candidate will have:
    • Experience handling healthcare EDI procedures and familiarity with 834 transactions.
    • A passion for healthcare and government service.
