Position Overview:
  • Client is seeking a Credit Accounting, Reconciliation & Cash Technology Lead to manage, direct, and oversee various Controllers and Investment Operations projects.
  • The ideal candidate provides visible leadership, accountability, and authority over high-profile projects delivered to Controllers and Investment Operations.
  • The candidate should work independently and exhibit a high degree of initiative in resolving problems encountered and developing recommended solutions.
  • Manage a global team that provides technology services to Controllers and Investment Operations
  • Contribute to the evolution of a business vision, strategy, and target operating model for Controllers and Investment Operations
  • Execute on various key initiatives and projects partnering with different teams in Global Technology and partners in the business.
  • Serve as SME on Client's internal and external systems (VPM, IVP Recon, IVP Cash Master, Spendable Cash, etc.)
  • Manage the development of integrations with counterparties to facilitate new Products including new funds, SMAs, etc.
  • Manage vendors and coordinate system upgrades, enhancements, and fixes
  • Identify best practices for optimizing system use both internally and externally
  • Review, document and improve workflow and system processes to meet and exceed business objectives
  • Oversee analysis and execution of key quality improvement projects and initiatives
  • Identify risks, plan for unanticipated outcomes, and form appropriate contingency plans
  • Drive changes and implement new services and solutions, building governance & ownership around the new initiatives/processes
  • Ensure robust program/project controls framework is used to deliver programs/projects on time, in budget
  • Communicate reports regarding project status, risk management, and escalation of issues that cannot be resolved in the team
  • Prepare and manage Middle Office yearly budget
Required Skills:
  • Leadership skills experience leading complex projects including multiple parties both internal and external
  • Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • 15+ years industry full cycle experience of SDLC methodologies and approaches, including refining business requirements and defining functional specifications
  • Knowledge of credit instruments. (Bank Loans, Bonds, Derivatives, etc.)
  • Experience with fund accounting platforms (SunGard VPM, Geneva, etc.)
  • Experience with reconciliation systems (Indus Valley Partners)
  • Deep understanding of middle office function (e.g., reconciliation, cash management, etc.)
  • Adept at listening and soliciting feedback from users and stakeholders
  • Independent business analysis skills
  • Detail & process oriented
  • Solid team player with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to thrive in a high-intensity, fast paced environment
  • Advanced degree from a top university strongly desired
