In this role, you will see firsthand how current and future market and regulatory changes impact structured notes issuance and profitability. You will be actively involved in discussions/process of CFD valuation changes in a dynamic environment.

  • Assist in the production of Daily PnL, p2a, f2a, and various risk-based reporting for one or multiple asset classes
  • Assist in the production of daily FOBO reconciliations for the various CFD businesses
  • Engage in various MO driven initiatives like PCS, (Risk self-assessment) and Sox controls
  • Participate in the monthly close process for CFD
  • Partner closely with Front Office, Middle Office, Operations, and Technology to define business processes and implement related technology solutions
  • Be involved with complex design and delivery issues that impact multiple lines of business
  • Assist with business case, conceptual designs (business process and technical), and lead specific aspects of analysis – contribution will focus on areas of subject matter expertise in OTC transaction processing, P&L analysis, and accounting
  • Handle Risk and Issue identification, Management, and resolution
  • Liaise with Technology to oversee aspects of implementation

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting/Finance
  • Minimum of 4-8+ years’ financial industry/banking experience – preferred: product control experience with derivatives products
  • Strong financial analytics experience (P& L)
  • Advanced experience/skills with Excel and complex spreadsheets
  • Product knowledge and knowledge of financial instruments accounting relevant to the area supported and experience working with various financial instruments (debt issuances, fx, trs, xccy swaps, fx rolls,etc).
  • Expert Excel knowledge, financial products knowledge, accounting knowledge, the ability to analyze, reconcile, and interpret large amounts of data

  • Strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities and multitask, excellent time management and prioritization skills, with ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills – will be heavily utilized through working with the many stakeholders involved with implementation; ability to communicate with various stakeholder
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong problem solving and analytical abilities (Excel/Essbase)
  • Ability and willingness to continuously learn on the job, technical fluency, with ability to learn new systems quickly and take ownership of process improvements
  • Ability to work in a team environment, ability to adapt, and ability to take ownership of change
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team member
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines

  • Economics, Business, Mathematics, Finance, Accounting, or similar major with internship experience
  • MBA, CPA, CFA, or other advanced certification
  • Experience with Bloomberg, or Hyperion/Essbase/SAP
  • Experience in working with financial reports
  • Insight/Essbase experience
  • Control-focused, analytical, team-oriented, comfortable with complex products
