Contract Administration Specialist

  • Supports team contracting processes, including:
    • Processing contracts and purchase requests received from Business Operations Manager and/or Specialist in compliance with current contracting/purchasing processes;
    • Working directly with department contract requestors to identify essential information required to process the requests
    • Entry of contract and associated purchase requests into requesting system
    • Tracking contracts and purchase requests status
    • Formatting documents for finalization and assisting with obtaining contract signatures
    • Retrieving contract documents from and filing to archives
    • As needed, troubleshooting PO issuance and/or adjustment associated with contracts
Required Qualifications:
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • High degree of adaptability for evolving and/or new processes
  • Ability to prioritize requests and handle matters resourcefully and proactively to enable timely completion of assigned work
  • Speaks up regarding issues and errors so they can be addressed in a timely manner; suggests solutions for continuous improvement.
  • Proficient in contracting and purchasing processes/systems and has familiarity with early research in drug development and/or informatics.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills, superior attention to detail and nimbleness with new/evolving processes will be key for success
  • 2+ years purchasing and/or contract management work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working within the biotechnology or life sciences sector
  • Experience working with software agreements
  • Familiarity with the SAP, Ariba and/or Icertis would be an asset
