Position Overview:
  • The Manager, Cloud Operations role is a hands-on-leader who is focused on continually improving and optimizing Cloud platforms and operations experience. This role will exemplify our principle Customer Obsession through operation excellent, leadership and a passion to continually be the voice of the customer.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead a 24x7 team of Cloud Operation Specialists
  • Inspire others through action by creating a spirit of collaboration
  • Mentor staff on cloud technologies and practices, act as a cloud subject matter expert to the organization for technology, security and process
  • Work with leadership to develop cloud capabilities and skills among workforce though the development and implementation of training and certification plans
  • Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships/alignment with partners across the business
  • Build and maintain relationships with other Cloud Operations Engineers to maintain consistent policies, processes and metrics across cloud platforms
  • Collaborate with Cloud Product Management by providing Operations perspective to drive improvement of the product and services with a focus on service.
  • Participate in backlog grooming and influence Engineering roadmap priorities
  • Provide operational oversight for the onboarding of customers and pre-provisioning support
  • Track version control across the customer base and in accordance with program management and change control teams, proactively support release management deliverables
  • Provide technical and process subject matter expertise for Sales and Field teams for questions that relate to the Cloud Service Offering
  • Point of contact for escalation Management as necessary during all phases of customer support
  • Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships/alignment with partners across the business
  • Define and deliver KPIs and reports which help provide transparency and affect positive change for operational areas
  • Work with Support organizations during incidents and post-mortem reviews
  • Drive continual improvement through strategic and thoughtful solutions with an automation first attitude
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience as an established technology leader
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field (or its foreign equivalent).
  • An advanced degree in one of these fields is a plus.
  • Azure Cloud certifications preferred

Required Experience:
  • Extensive experience supporting Cloud or PaaS / SaaS production environment
  • Extensive experience with multiple Public Cloud Provider (Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • Strong management skills, but also be able to dive into the details as needed
  • Experience with Cloud Services and Cloud Automation solutions
  • Experience with Azure DevOps practices
  • Ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization
  • Experience in data warehousing and high-performance computing environment is a plus
  • Experience with implementing and supporting government or healthcare industry security programs such as NIST 800-53 and HIPAA
  • Azure Cloud Platform experience required
