  • Responsible for multiple job families within the Engineering/Chemistry function
  • Engaged in designing, developing, troubleshooting, and debugging of research and/or product development functions in CHEMISTRY
  • Ability to apply intermediate level of subject matter knowledge to solve a variety of common business issues
  • Works on problems/projects of moderately complex scope
  • Exercises independent judgment within defined practices and procedures to determine appropriate action
  • Acts as an informed team member providing analysis of information and limited project direction input. Follows established guidelines and interprets policies
  • Evaluates unique circumstances and makes recommendations
  • Translate high level experiment requests into detailed instructions including ink build details, ink measurements, and print screening tests
  • Source new materials
  • informatics input/download, coordination with WS
  • Data collation
  • Initial data analysis: collect and collate data, prepare graphs, modify analyses based on feedback from team
  • Set up and modify print screening tests including Kahuna scripts
  • Set up tests on Rover-based test tools, modify scripts
  • Build inks and measure properties to assist chem techs as needed
  • Inspect and review print samples for defects and to validate formal measurements
  • Inspect outlier data and determine how best to resolve
  • Provide quantitative values for print responses (sometimes done for durability or decap tests)
  • Create and submit build task requests to IFL
  • Run print screening tests
  • Ink logistics: physicals, supply fills, deliver to test areas, shipping, RM inventory and procurement
  • Typically a Bachelors degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 3-5 years related experience or Masters degree and up to two years experience.
  • Data Analytics, some programming, e.g., MATLAB experience is important
  • Degree in chemistry or equivalent
  • Wet chemistry experience
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Experience in operating basic lab equipment
  • Excel (complex formulas), some programming or scripting skills
  • Willing to do non-routine tasks and work independently with high level guidance
