Responsibilities:
  • Work with IT Business Partner (ITBP), Domain Capability Manager (DCM), and newly formed Biospecimen Management group to complete Enterprise Analysis in support of project justification and planning
  • Interview biospecimen management SMEs in Client and Client to understand current process and technology state
  • Identify opportunities for improvement
  • Work with technical lead and IT Business Partner to define a future state
  • Capture detailed requirements & use cases arranged by common needs across domains
  • Contribute to development of business plan for full implementation
  • Work with ITBP and DCM to estimate implementation costs
  • Work with stakeholders to identify qualitative improvements and calculate quantitative benefits of implementing proposed system
  • Contribute to Project planning activities
 
Required Experience:
  • At least 5+years of prior experience working as a dedicated business analyst on large and/or complex projects in the Pharmaceutical Industry
  • Experience in a business analyst capacity on a large scale COTS project, a bespoke development project, and/or combination of both (impacting 100+ Users across multiple domains)
  • Experience with formal SDLC practices, emphasis on Analysis & Design stages
 
Required Skills:
  • Outgoing personality; self-starter able to work interactively and independently with stakeholders
  • Familiarity with Biospecimen management, clinical sample management, clinical trial process
  • Proficiency in business requirement illicitation from scientific stakeholders
  • Expertise in creating:
    • As is and to be process flows
    • Current state data flows
    • System overviews
  • Proven ability in gathering, tracing, and managing complex requirements, business rules, and data
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including technical writing / documentation
