Position Overview:
  • Provides a single point of contact for Finance, Accounting and Hotels, who will oversee the Sales and Revenue Management departments monthly/annual billing processes
  • As well as, account/customer management, consistent implementation of accuracy methods, reporting, and interdepartmental and vendor relationship management
  • Will primarily be responsible for the monthly and annual billing processes for the Sales and Revenue Management Commercial Capabilities team
  • In this role, you will review and update Sales and Revenue Management Governance business billing processes/tools in keeping aligned with brand standards and billing guidelines
  • Will also find new opportunities for process and system optimization while contributing to the creation, prioritization and execution of streamlining efforts
 
Responsibilities:
  • Become intimately familiar with billing and legal terms set for each system
  • Ensure month end closing and all other required billing templates are submitted to applicable internal teams and processed accurately
  • Assist in the development and ongoing review of billing systems, to provide efficiencies and abilities to track required details of each systems billing process
  • Develop best practice financial accounting and control procedures; continually review the process and procedures to maximize impact and efficiency
  • Review the balance sheets, ensure reconciliations are performed
  • Carry out data quality audits to ensure consistency in data values across systems. This includes leading change approval and modification processes
  • Run ad-hoc report requests as needed by leadership, stakeholders or customers
  • Create, gain approvals, and send billing communications via email and/or NOW platforms
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the Sales and Revenue Management business processes across brands and geographies
 
Qualifications:

  • Detail oriented and organizationally adept to ensure accurate recordkeeping required for each process
  • Strong analytical skills to analyze complex billing procedures across multiple platforms, monthly and annually, to adapt to changing needs, and make informed and fair decisions
  • Problem solving skills to find creative solutions in developing, prioritizing and implementing solutions to support billing and auditing processes
  • Strong communication skills, including written and verbal communication, to explain complex billing procedures in a clear and concise manner
  • Self-motivation skills enabling you to take initiative in identifying, prioritizing and implementing tasks with a personal commitment to succeed
  • Social skills with an aptitude for working with different teams and in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to influence without authority (upwards, downwards and laterally) to guide internal/external stakeholders and team members/teams who do not report into this role
  • Five (5) years of professional work experience
  • Three (3) year of Finance experience in Accounting, Billing, or related field
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree, or Associates Degree plus 6+ years of related experience, or High School Degree/GED plus 12+ years of related experience
  • Nine (9)+ years of professional work experience
  • Experience with Sales or Revenue Management systems and business processes
  • Management experience of people or teams in a supervisory role
