  • Use molecular biology expertise, protein expression, purification and biological characterization in the development of protein therapeutics
  • Responsible for all aspects of protein therapeutic discovery and optimization including antibody selection, screening, characterization, and affinity maturation
  • Will function as a member of multidisciplinary project teams
  • Present results and recommendations at project team meetings
  • Collaborate closely with other members of BMD, CTI and company’s scientists at other sites, and our academic partners to ensure the team meets aggressive project deliverables, goals and timelines
  • Expected to embrace and embody the entrepreneurial spirit and biotech-like culture, values and goals of BMD-CTI, and contribute to creating an exciting, collaborative, productive and scientifically rigorous working environment
Required Experience:
  • Degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related life science discipline
  • 1+ years post Ph.D. experience, or 4-6 years with BS./M.S., in laboratory research, preferably in an industry setting
  • Experience in assay development including protein-protein binding assays, protein expression, purification and characterization, ELISA, and Western blot
  • Working experience with phage/yeast antibody display libraries
  • Experience designing panning and screening strategies that will enable the selection of desirable antibodies/peptides against targets
  • Next Generation Sequencing and/or CRISPR gene editing technology experience
Required Skills:
  • Strong molecular biology skills including DNA subcloning, cDNA library building, DNA mutagenesis design and PCR techniques
  • Strong publication record
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • It is essential for the individual to work with other group members as a team
