The Finance Operations serves as a central platform for providing solutions to the business across finance processes, data, systems and organization. The Finance Service Management team, which is a part of Finance Operations, is responsible for providing strategic and operational support to the Finance Organization in managing the delivery of Co-sourced Operations and driving the Service Management Framework with the various finance functions/ business units.

The Associate will work closely with core finance functions, senior finance leadership across Corporate, Insurance and Investments Group, Procurement and the Co-sourcing vendor to monitor and measure the business case benefits for the Co-sourcing initiative. The role oversees the Co-sourcing contract performance, including the invoice review and approvals, contract change management, assessing the financial impact due to change in program and actively participate in vendor negotiations. In this role, the person will be expected to travel to the Co-Sourced locations (Knoxville, TN & Noida, India) on a needed basis. He/ She will lead the contract issue and dispute resolutions with vendor and contract re-negotiations as required.

  • Facilitate the Client's leadership and SMEs travel to India and Knoxville, maintain Client's SME and executive travel schedule, maintain and update India and Knoxville Travel Guide, and travel to the Delivery Centers in US and India to facilitate travel logistics
  • Remote KT technology / location support
  • Review Co-sourcing vendor monthly invoices, apply service credits when applicable and understand the Client's internal invoicing process and billing (allocation) mechanism
  • Review Co-Sourcing vendor performance against the SLAs/KPIs set out in the contract and escalate issues if any
  • Facilitate Co-sourcing resource on boarding/off boarding
  • Maintain access for SharePoint and other IT applications
  • Track contracts and change orders
  • Other ad hoc requests from the leadership team

  • 3-5 years experience in Financial and Commercial Management, Business Process Co-sourcing and Project Management
  • Demonstrated knowledge of related tools and technology.
  • Experience in Insurance Finance & Accounting is preferred
  • Bachelor degree is required, preferably in Business, Finance and Economics related area
  • Exceptional at multitasking and quickly shifting from task to task with team members
  • Must have exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrate highest level of self-awareness, professionalism and integrity with all internal and external parties
  • Willing to travel to Co-sourcing vendors delivery center in Noida, India multiple times a year
Specific Skills:
  • Review vendor monthly invoices, apply service credits when applicable and understand NYL internal invoicing process and billing (allocation) mechanism . Understanding of outsourcing contracts and tracking changes
  • Vendor performance against the SLAs/KPIs
  • Track work order changes
  • Logistic travel arrangement
  • Ability to travel to Knoxville, TN and India
  • International travel will be 3-4 times a year, 2-3 times a year for domestic. Each time will be around a week or two.
