Position Overview:
  • A Scientist experienced in bioconjugation, purification and characterization of complex bioconjugates, to play an important role in the discovery and development of Client biotherapeutics.
  • Support bioconjugation activities using various random and site-specific conjugation technologies.
  • Production, purification, and characterization of ADCs on research- and early-development scales.
  • Development and optimization of conjugation protocols utilizing Client chemistries and technologies.
  • Protein expression of various antibodies and antigens in multiple expression systems.
  • Protein purification utilizing variety of methods including affinity, ion-exchange, hydrophobic interaction, size-exclusion chromatography, and tangential flow filtration.
  • Record and communicate findings in a timely manner.
  • Develop and implement methods for purification and in-depth biochemical characterization of therapeutic candidates and reagents (RP-HPLC, LC-MS, SDS-PAGE, western analysis, ELISA).
  • BS degree with 5+ years of industry experience or MS degree with 2+ years of industry experience. The degree should be in Biochemistry, Chemistry, or related disciplines.
  • Experience in bioconjugation methods (lysine, inter-chain cysteine and/or site-specific cysteine and other).
  • Experience in production, purification and characterization of ADCs on research scale (0.5-15 mg) and medium scales (100-500 mg).
  • Experience in protein expression and purification on AKTA platforms.
  • Experience in development of purification strategies using various chromatographic techniques such as affinity, size exclusion, ion-exchange, hydrophobic interaction, and tangential flow filtration.
  • Highly organized, motivated, ability to work independently and in collaborative teams.
  • Demonstrated record of scientific accomplishments and publications.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
