Required Qualifications:

  • BS degree with 1 year of experience in a lab environment
  • Experience with automated liquid handling or lab automation (Tecan or Hamilton preferred)
  • Programming experience (python, R, Matlab)
  • Strong attention to detail and strong work ethic
  • Enjoys working in a team environment
  • Engineering degree
  • Experience working in a GxP environment
  • Knowledge of omics technologies
  • Experience with mass spectrometry



  • Develop and establish automation specific SOPs for relevant proteomics sample prep protocols. Execute established high throughput protocols.
  • Program and generate plate definitions (measurements) for use on multiple automation platforms currently within the proteomics group
  • Establish liquid class information for various proteomics workflows and optimize liquid classes for use on proteomics lab automation platforms
  • Operate and monitor automation equipment and optimize said workflows by diligently tracking as well as resolving issues that may arise
  • Generate and program work lists for automation platforms from defined proteomics experimental designs
  • Collaborate and partner with Proteomics group members to establish specific use cases and associated automation needs
  • Analyze automation centric datasets and associated metrics using computational tools such R and python
  • Develop and establish criteria for formatting and selecting relevant data and meta data for ingestion into Proteomics specific LIMS
  • Maintain electronic laboratory notebooks, analyze pertinent data sets and communicate results to the team
  • Attend Proteomics team meetings and provide regular updates to team members
