Application Support Analyst

  • Identifies possible production failure scenarios, creates incident tickets, updates incident tickets regarding status and communicates effectively with development and internal business operations teams
  • Identifies vulnerabilities and opportunities for improvement, as well as help develop analysis that will drive improvement in all areas of Production Services. Creates and enhances operational and technical policies and procedures, adopting best practice guidelines, standards and procedures
  • Takes ownership of escalations and perform troubleshooting, analysis, research and resolution using advanced query and programming skills
  • Has the awareness and exposure to basic technical principles, concepts, and techniques
  • Competent to work under supervision on less complex systems issues
  • Follows standard practices and procedures
  • Consumer banking domain experience is desirable
  • Review and update documentation for issues

  • Education: B.E./ B. Tech/M.E./M. Tech/MCA /MSC /BSC /BCA (prefer IT/CS specialization)
  • Certifications If Any
  • Experience Range: 2 - 4 yrs

Preferred Skills:
  • XML, Jboss
  • Oracle\SQL with TOAD, Unix/Linux along with SHELL scripting
  • Windows Server 2012
  • Splunk, Introscope, Remedy ITSM
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) across all organizational levels of technical and non-technical audiences, and the ability to work in a highly collaborative, multi-country/time zone environment
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to track and prioritize numerous tasks
  • Proactive personality with a proven track record of following through and delivering on responsibilities
  • Highly adaptive and working as part of an extended team
  • Prior experience of working in Production Support
  • Understanding of Incident, Problem & Change management
  • IBM HTTP server, IBM WebSphere, Oracle WebLogic
  • Mainframe TSO
  • Understanding of tools such as, Site scope, BladeLogic, winScp
  • Strong analytical skills
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and think innovatively
  • Quartz knowledge would be beneficial
