Eclaro is looking for a Sr. Prof. Network Engineer for an opportunity for our client in Billerica, MA. We encourage all authorized to work in the US to apply, we cannot subcontract.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development of an architecture toward network automation with a goal of creating a stable repeatable platform that can be integrated with carrier facing portals as well as VNF/NVF vendor(s).
  • Support the team proof of concept around “zero touch deployment”.
  • Assist in the development of tools toward the harvesting of metrics such as monitoring health, performance, capacity, etc. of the WAN/MAN.
  • Assist in the definition, evolution, implementation of NFV/VNF and SD-WAN reference architecture.
  • Domestic travel required
  • The NFV engineer will support the Network Engineering team in delivering the compute-centric NFV, platforms and technologies that will power the customer’s network and provide solutions to accelerate development of cloud-based products and services.

Education, Certifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics or equivalent.
  • 8 Years participating in design and development activities
  • Must have 6+ years’ experience installing, configuring, and supporting Cisco network infrastructure
  • CCIE or CCNP certification

Required Skills:
  • Advanced Knowledge of TCP/IP
  • Experience and understanding of SDN and NFV/VNF technologies.
  • Experience and understanding of networking services consisting of Virtual and Physical Network Functions.
  • Experience with large scale zero touch routers deployment
  • Experience in Linux system administration (RedHat/Debian/BSD).
  • Experience in designing virtualized compute environments like VMware, Openstack, etc.
  • Knowledge of storage technologies including file, object, and block.
  • Experience with Cloud Platform, Orchestration or VNF Manager in product planning and design
  • Detailed understanding of NFV/VNF and SD-WAN products, technologies, architectures, and vendors.
  • Programming aptitude in at least one of Python, Java.
  • Familiarity with network device configuration and management with NetConf network configuration protocol and YANG data model.
  • Experience with one or more packet capture tools (Wireshark, OPNET/Riverbed, tcpdump)
