Development/Programming position on World Ship QA Automation team creating frameworks and scripts for automated functionality testing; assists with developing virtual environments.
Provides mentorship/expertise in technologies/processes for
IS/QA, keeps up on emerging technologies to ensure competitive advantage, creates test scenarios/expected outcomes, provides expertise for UPS key business functions
& supporting technologies, applies a comprehensive knowledge of tech skills, principles, practices, testing methodologies & working knowledge in planning, designing, conducting QA reviews & inspections, does comprehensive testing & risk based assessments.
Uses source docs as input & contributes to the
planning/implementation of testing activities.
Leads programming/testing
components of large/complex projects, assigns tasks, provides staff direction, reports progress to project stakeholders.
Creates/selects tools/methodologies for
review/approval by management.
Reports to QA Lead.


Keeps up on industry & able to effectively implement process improvements & drive high quality test preparation/execution work.
Flexible & adaptable to day-today
changes.
Has test tool expertise (QC, UFT, MS Excel/Access) & leads
development of efficient light-weight solutions.
Work experience w/Windows 7/10.

Advanced knowledge of software development/coding process, including SDLC.
Advanced skills required in application development & testing practices.
Creative

SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • 3 years minimum, 5+ years preferred of Development and/or QA experience w/strong design/technical/business knowledge, planning, analytical, risk management, communication skills
  • Sound leadership skills, capable of being a backup lead
