The Senior Manager - Network Engineering will lead an Enterprise Networking team in Chevy Chase MD. He/She will provide transformational leadership on a team of highly talented network engineers tasked to put in place the necessary mechanisms and processes to provide measured rapid delivery of network services to the growing needs of our customer's internal and external customers.

The Senior Manager- Network Engineering will be a highly motivated IT leader with a successful track record of training, coaching and mentoring a team of talented network engineers. The mission of the team is to create a sustainable competitive advantage for our customer by maximizing customer experience and efficiency through networking services. A qualified candidate must have the ability to plan, prioritize, execute, and manage large enterprise network projects and services. He/She must be able to look beyond the immediate assignments and develop a strategic road map for the team and services. This position also requires the continued development of network engineers and analysts. A qualified candidate will have experience of successful associate development, training and coaching plans. The role demands excellent project management skills, great interpersonal skills, and strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Working closely with other teams to align network initiatives with the collective IT strategy to ensure that we meet business goals.
  • Lead the team to define and implement automated workflows to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Ensure effective monitoring of all network infrastructure components.
  • Establish, maintain and report on service level agreements for network services.
  • Configuration management; Fault management; and capacity management of the network services.
  • Adherence to latest software and hardware patches and fixes.
  • Leading the team to identify the appropriate tools and processes to enhance efficiencies in the day to day network operations, maintaining high availability at all times.

  • Track-record of delivering, building collaborative cross-functional relationships, and ability to find creative ways to solve business problems.
  • Demonstrable ability to coach, mentor and develop a team of technical professionals. Ability to establish, track, report and alert on KPls for network services.
  • Excellent communication and customer engagement skills.
  • Minimum 5-7 years related experience; demonstrable equivalent of at least CCNA-level networking knowledge.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality focused.
  • Well-versed in network monitoring tools.
  • Strong understanding of cloud technologies.
  • Strong know ledge in data and telephony network systems.
  • Ability to establish and maintain open and collaborative relationships with other teams and stakeholders to define requirements and that translate into technical solutions.
  • Ability to stay current with evolving networking technologies, architectures and best practices.
  • Provide 7x24 after hours on-call support and support for off-hour implementations
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management Information System, Computer Science (or similar) is required or currently pursuing per company requirements

  • Cisco Certified Network Professional or Cisco Certified Design Professional certification or equivalent knowledge.
  • Enterprise se-class WLAN design, deployment and testing experience.
  • Strong understanding of servers and virtualization technologies.
  • Ability to perform advanced packet/protocol analysis throughout the seven layer OSI reference model. Load balancing technologies.
  • Understanding of the ITIL framework
  • Understanding of PCI, ISO 27001 and SOX compliance requirements Cisco ASA Firewalls/VPN and UCS infrastructure
  • Network management tools such as Cisco Prime, CA performance manager, Netscout, SolarWinds, Splunk, NetMRi etc.
