The Quantitative Middle Office (QMO) seeks to hire a P&L / Product Control Manager to support the newly-developed Margin Valuation Adjustment (MVA) desk. This individual will help develop and then manage the MVA Product Control function. The key aspects of this function include: P&L Production and Analysis, Flash vs Actual P&L Analysis and Reporting, Data Quality Control, and Front-to-Back Analysis and Control across Data Flow and Process. This role will be based in New York and will report to a QMO Director.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Provide support for New Business onboarding and set-up
  • Perform prototyping of New Process and Reports (work with in-house developers as needed)
  • Develop and continuously improve Process & Workflow - as the function is new, there will be equal parts handling BAU process as well as helping to facilitate Development work

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
  • 8+ years pertinent experience in P&L/Product Control capacity, demonstrated a strong ability to manage projects, work with traders and Tech directly and successfully navigate various departments in order to analyze and resolve issues effectively
  • Proven track record of communicating effectively with personnel from various departments of an organization and at different management levels
  • Good understanding of Rates products
  • Knowledge of FX, Credit, and Equity products
  • Strong people skills and ability to efficiently multi-task
  • Proactive and self-starter attitude

THE FOLLOWING ARE AN ADVANTAGE:
  • Finance, Math or Engineering type of degree and advanced education or enhanced technical qualifications
  • CFA/FRM/MBA
  • Ability to use VBA, SQL, and Python

This role is a manager role with oversight of a team of 2-3 people but will also partner closely with the MVA Transfer Pricing team that is part of Core Middle Office. A successful, high-performing candidate could see his or her role expand into the management of additional workflow and/or initiatives in the CPM business which is constantly evolving with the developments in the industry with regard to XVA.
