|We are looking for designers to transform often complex insurance, investment, and/or other financial information into easily understood, branded visually engaging printed and digital experiences. Ideally you are just as comfortable discussing process and spot colors, trims and die cuts, paper weights and other print production specifications as you are in exploring considerations for developing interactive PDFs, animating PowerPoint presentations, and other digital marketing and communication pieces that require an understanding of user experience. The role also involves executing final designs for production that are print-ready or pixel perfect. |
General Responsibilities: Working on the design team across a wide range of projects including our print media, promotions, special events, and client projects. Working on multiple projects simultaneously. Work closely with project managers, art directors, and brand managers to meet daily design deadlines. Maintain brand consistency, and adhering to print and digital media vendor guidelines. Interpret messaging in marketing text, and create appropriate layouts and visual assets to better communicate concepts (i.e. data visualization, infographics, presentation decks & animations, and more.). Image research.
Basic Qualifications: Candidate MUST have an online portfolio demonstrating experience that illustrates a wide variety of design solutions. Solid written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present a strong rationale for design decisions.
Requirements: Minimum of 5 years of related work experience Degree in Design, Visual Communications or related field Demonstrates knowledge of offset print and digital print processes and production methods Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail, quality and process Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively; problem solver Good communication skills Ability to work within brand guidelines while remaining fresh and unique.
Highly competent in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. Highly competent in Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, and Excel. Proficient on both Mac and Windows Platforms Up to date with current design trends.
Additional Desirables Experience in Graphic Design in the Financial Industry Knowledge of HTML/CSS Proficient in Adobe Flash/Animate CC, Dreamweaver & Premiere Pro Knowledge of Adobe DPS and AEM Mobile, Adobe After Effects.
The candidate is coming in to a production environment where they will be doing both print and digital design. interactive PDFs and occasionally a short video utilizing After Effects. Ideal candidate should come from an environment where they can do some conceptualizing and not strictly production and repeatable design work.
