Eclaro International is currently recruiting for a Global Risk COO Governance Reporting Analyst for one of our financial services clients.

Job Description:


This is a highly visible role in the Global Risk COO Office. The role has the following growth / development opportunities:

Short-Term Objectives:
?Build strong working relationships across the Global Risk Management organization, lines of business and other control functions
?Develop a deep understanding of the composition and structure of the Client franchise and key priorities, risks and goals
?Gain a broad knowledge of key and emerging risks across the enterprise Long-Term Development Opportunities:
?Become a valuable resource for strategic projects and ad-hoc requests for the wider Global Risk Management team and senior management ?Drive continuous development of the committee materials for senior management and board members

?Assist in driving improvements and transformation of management level and board of director level risk committee materials
?Create and/or review materials for key internal and external meetings including regulators, rating agencies
?Assist in providing strategic support for Chief Risk Officer, including coordinating key activities on his behalf
?Assist in providing consulting to various internal clients on best governance practices, including ensuring committee material content is best in class
?Sit in on review meetings with senior management to build stronger understanding of key risks throughout the organization
?Share and promote governance best practices with business partners

Generic Job Description
Works with senior management and other team members to implement enhancements to reporting and analysis packages for senior management forums and committees plus the implementation of improved reporting and data mining tools and metrics. Ensures that the team produces regulatory and economic risk capital reports and data inputs respectively. Produces regularly scheduled reports including stress and back testing and responds to ad hoc reporting and analysis requests. May manage a small team of analysts or own key reports and or processes. Strong finance, risk or compliance background with quantitative skills preferred.

Qualifications:

Required Skills:
? Bachelor's degree
? 3-5+ years demonstrated analytical experience working in the financial industry (Risk, Finance, Investment Banking)
? Must have a solid understanding of how a trade or deal is executed & completed
? Must have an executive presence
? Must have strong attention to detail
? Strong presentation skills: ability to present key messages, recommendations and information in a clear and insightful way and synthesize information key to relevant points
? Strong communication skills: ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally and to feel comfortable delivering insights and recommendations to senior leaders and regulatory agencies

Highly desired & preferred background:

? Legal background with 1-2 years of experience & subject matter expertise in Capital Markets
? Economic Capital / Trading desk business acumen
What are the 3-4 non-negotiable requirements on this position?
Legal background with 1-2 years of experience & subject matter expertise in Capital Markets; Trading Desk acumen - understanding of how a trade is executed and/or Capital Management knowledge and experience Strong presentation skills: Demonstrated ability to present key messages, recommendations and information in a clear and insightful way and synthesize information key to relevant points Strong communication skills: ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally and to feel comfortable delivering insights and recommendations to senior leaders and regulatory agencies 3-5+ years experience working in the financial industry (Risk, Finance, Investment Banking) OR someone who is a 1st or 2nd year Attorney as mentioned above who is open to moving into a non-atty role.
