General Position Description:
Provide expert advice and assistance in support of various projects which may involve support of strategic efforts for marketing, engagement and outreach programs. Must be able to take complex technical and/or obscure concepts and convert them into briefing materials and communication artifacts that are easy to understand and accessible to broad audiences. The resource may be asked to assist with adoption and integration of programs, assess user needs, plan and coordinate outreach and engagement efforts, identify gaps, take ideas and concepts for new strategies and bring them forward as presentations, papers, talking points, web messages etc. Will also be asked to assist in the planning. executing and documenting of user feedback sessions. In particular will also assist with development of brand/logo materials, creation of program materials, administration of website content, administration of intranet and shared-drive content and artifacts. and support to events and activities.

Mandatory:
  • Demonstrated on-the-job experience developing engagement strategies and executing a detailed plan defining outreach intervals, contact strategies and objectives
  • Demonstrated on-the-job experience developing 'T program collateral such as information sheets, website content, user stories, briefings and marketing materials and demonstrated use of these materials to develop a comprehensive, cohesive, regularly paced approach to strategic communications
  • Demonstrated on-the-job experience with corporate communications
  • Experience with integrated workflow using current graphic design, desktop publishing and multimedia such as Adobe Creative Suite and Connect
  • Demonstrated on-the-job experience with web technologies such as wiki's blogs, social media, crowdsourcing
Optional:
  • Demonstrated use of social software and knowledge management tools including Sponsors eChirp, Intelcos, iVideo, Gallery, and Jabber
  • An understanding of web site technical requirements
  • Experience with content production, content management, and production systems
  • Experience creating web sites using HTML, CSS, and Javascript
