Description
Required Skills - 8+ yrs of exp on the ff:
  • Knowledge in the following areas:
    • Win7 and XP Operating systems
    • SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager)
    • Microsoft Forefront Endpoint Protection
    • BitLocker
    • AppSense (Profile Control)
    • McAfee Antivirus
    • Eracent Asset Management
    • Image support
  • Provide maintenance of the workstation images, including patches and application updates
  • Conduct tests on new hardware platforms, utilizing Freddie Mac developed tests
  • Provide image updates Software packaging
  • Package software for electronic distribution
  • Perform tasks to package an application according to agreed standards and requirements
  • Resolve component conflicts where possible
  • Perform the unit testing of each package
  • Perform regression testing for business-critical applications in case of component DLL modification
  • Test software packages prior to distribution
  • Produce a packaging report for each application packaged Software distribution
  • Plan software distribution activities in accordance with agreed change management policies
  • Participate in piloting the software distribution by providing problem support and resolution
  • Push software packages to multiple workstations using Freddie Mac provided tools
  • Monitor the software distribution process
  • Update the asset management system after each installation of desktop software, if required
  • Take corrective action for problems resulting from software distribution to clear error conditions and facilitate application stability
  • Provide proper back out procedures in the event of a distribution or installation problem and carry out rollback, if necessary, to make the workstation software function in accordance with operating specifications
  • Analyze and report problems, including log file check on any unsuccessful software installations
  • Perform general remedial work as needed to reinstate software distributions following any failures
