As part of the Equities Middle Office Change Management group, you will serve as an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team whose mandate is to deliver industry leading Front to back process and technology solutions. Acting as a change agent, you will:
  • Manage a variety of value-driven initiatives at every phase of the project lifecycle
  • Use your knowledge of processes and best practices within technology (application integration / application development), Finance/Middle Office Operations, and project management to assist in the identification, assessment, and resolution of complex issues/problems
  • Assist in setting and executing the vision for Equities support functions
As a leader in the newly formed group, you will capitalize on current momentum on Equity front-to-back integration initiatives and be accountable for driving change and seeing the project through successful implementation.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Partner closely with Equity Middle Office, Finance, Operations and COO teams (including senior management), and Technology Partners to define/re-define business processes and implement related technology solutions
  • Manage medium/large sized change projects within equity support areas
  • Lead/manage full project lifecycle from the definition of business requirements and processes through to systems development, testing, and implementation
  • Create conceptual designs (business process and technical) and translate business priorities and requirements into actionable, structured, project plans
  • Use communication skills in forming and communicating a change agenda and gaining stakeholder buy-in
  • Key aims will be:
o Deliver on Equities strategic initiatives for the Middle Office
o Help design target infrastructure for the Equity Derivatives Middle Office business
o Manage resources for the Equities Change Management team
o Help plan associates career progression and succession plans
o Utilize existing tools and build new ones to allow Middle Office head and line of business managers to carry out more effective performance reviews

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • 3+ years of experience performing business analysis/definition and program management to support large projects and business change
  • Experience in full project lifecycle management
  • Experience in middle office/finance/operations re-engineering initiatives
  • Broad business experience in defining business and systems requirements for corporate-wide applications
  • Previous experience in systems development

SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Understanding of business unit control functions and corporate reporting
  • Strong collaboration and relationship management skills
  • High sense of urgency with ability to drive results
  • Project/program management capability
  • Proven requirement and process definition and documentation skills, with ability to handle diverse workload and tight schedules
  • Strong risk assessment, negotiation and problem resolution skills
  • Strong understanding of financial processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication/presentation skills
  • Ability to lead and drive change
  • Ability to drive to closure, reputation for execution
  • Ability to articulate full product life cycle and understanding trade lifecycle
  • Ability to apply strategic thinking to multiple, complex organizational and business issues; ability to translate into practical plans for project execution
  • Ability to work in a team of analysts and technologists
  • Ability to work across business groups and in a team environment

THE FOLLOWING ARE AN ADVANTAGE:
  • Equities, derivatives or related experience
  • Ability to architect business and software solutions and define related requirements
  • Proficiency in writing/reading SQL
  • Experience/knowledge in programming languages preferred (.Net, Java, Python)
